elmatecoOn march 5th 2019, Unicode will make public the emoji list planned for release in March 2019, called Emoji 12.0, the mate emoji is part of that list!
The new emoji has the unicode name “Mate Drink”.
When will the mate emoji be available in my smartphone?
Once the Emoji 12.0 is released, all platforms will start the emojis update process.
Times may vary, but we can be sure that between April and December of 2019, the mate emoji will be available in our smartphones, it will depend on the time each platform (IOS, Android) implements the new emoji list.
How does the mate emoji looks like?

We can be pretty sure this emoji will be highly used, specially in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil.
